& Conditions
Meet and Greet: I require one complementary, 30 minute meet greet at the client's home to meet their pet(s) before officially deciding to work with them. If further are needed, client will be charged for the visit(s).
Access: I require access to the home, pet(s), and your contact information in order to fulfill the services you've hired me for. This means that I will either need a key, lockbox code, or other form of clear entry, and a parking spot arranged ahead of time.
Supplies: If pet(s) are free from food allergies, and they are not on a special diet, I carry dog treats as a reward during and/or after walks/potty breaks. I bring my own supply of waste bags that I can use (within reason), as well as my own leash. Feel free to provide your own leash, treats or waste bags, if wanted/needed.
Updates: Every visit will include at least one photo (if possible) of your pet(s), and consistent updates on how they are doing for each visit.
Information: If I am to stay for an extended amount of time at your home for pet(s) sitting, I request your Wi-Fi information and any other information that you feel I need to know about your pet(s) and their home. I also need to know if they have any allergies (food or otherwise) and if they are reactive/triggered in any way before any visits are scheduled. I also need clear instructions as to where the waste bags go, if there are any, and where the leash, food, ect..., is located.
I am required by the state of Minnesota to use a 6ft leash for dog walks, not a 12 foot, extendable leash. I choose to honor this law to keep your pet(s) safe as possible and to minimize any chance of accidents happening on my time.
Distance Fee: Based upon drive time of 25 minutes or more, traffic not included, distance fees may be applied. I am unable to provide longer distance services or overnights during the weekdays of the school year unless I'm able to have my child with me to take them to school in the mornings.
Child Care: I have one (nearly 10 year old, animal friendly) child, that I may occasionally need to take with me to provide your pet(s) services. If you request, I can let you know ahead of time. If you do not wish for me to bring my child, I cannot always guarantee that I can meet the scheduled visit(s). Generally, if child care is available, they will not be coming with me to work, unless requested or preferred. I try to avoid these circumstances, but as a parent, I am always going to put family first.
Severe Weather: Severe weather could impact the length of the walk. I will do my best to meet the needs required, within reason. If I do have the ability to attend, but shorten the visit, due to weather, I feel it necessary to still charge full price, as I still met the need and put myself at risk to come out.
Deep Snow: In the cases of deep snow; please ensure that there's a decent spot for parking available.
My Cancellations: Weather, traffic, sickness in my family, and unforeseen circumstances may impact the schedule or cause cancellation. If this happens, I will communicate ASAP, so you can plan accordingly. I take full responsibility for rescheduling or crediting/refunding you for the service(s) unable to be met at that time.
Client Cancellation: If a cancellation is needed for a visit, please let me know ASAP, or at least, the day before your scheduled service; Otherwise, I may not be able to issue a refund. I can, however, add credits to the following invoice for your next set of scheduled services.
Aggression: If you or your pet(s) show any unwarranted, threatening or aggressive behavior towards me or my child, I reserve the right to immediately cancel my services with no refund or credit, and will likely not be providing any services to you, moving forward.
Boarding and Transportation: Boarding is no longer a service that I provide and same with transportation, for the most part. I make very few exceptions.
Agreement: By scheduling with me, you have acknowledged my policies, terms, and conditions, and will do your part to uphold your end of the agreement.
